自2006年起，港大/瑪麗醫院已獲NMPA認證六個臨床專業進行藥物臨床試驗，其後於2016年7月香港大學一期臨床試驗病房及更多的臨床專業亦獲相同認證，現時港大/瑪麗醫院現共獲NMPA認證13個範疇。

於2022年3月，13個範疇的主要研究者已按照NMPA定下的要求和指引於藥物臨床試驗機構備案管理信息平台登記。

Since 2006, HKU/QMH has been accredited by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA, previously called China Food and Drug Administration) for conducting clinical drug trials in six clinical specialties, and the HKU Phase 1 Clinical Trials Centre and more clinical specialties were further accredited in July 2016. Currently, HKU/QMH is accredited by the NMPA in a total of 13 areas.

In Mar 2022, principal investigators from these 13 areas have been registered on the Clinical Trials Institution Registration Management Platform (藥物臨床試驗機構備案管理信息平台) according to the latest requirements and guidelines set by the NMPA.
